… you should know about Jaime Alguersuari. As the youngest Formula 1 driver of all time, the 19-year-old Spaniard celebrated his debut in the champions’ league of motor sports at the Hungarian Grand Prix on July 26. Some need-to-know information on the Scuderia Toro Rosso driver.

Jaime was born on March 23, 1990, in Barcelona.

In 1998 Jaime made his foray into the world of motor sports as a kart driver.

Up to July 23, 2009, Jaime has competed in a total of 118 international races.

Jaime is 178 cm tall and weighs 63 kg.

In 2003 Jaime took part in races all over Europe for the first time.

On July 20, 2009, Jaime was officially confirmed as the new driver for Scuderia Toro Rosso.

In the Formula Renault 2.0 Italia Jaime was crowned Rookie of the Year in 2006.

Jaime’s Formula 1 car carries the Number 11.

Jaime’s blood type is A+.

After Sebastian Vettel (GER) and Sébastien Buemi (SUI), Jaime is the third Red Bull Junior to make it into Formula 1.

Jaime did his first Formula 1 test drives for Red Bull Racing as early as 2008.

Jaime’s predecessor at Scuderia Toro Rosso was the Frenchman Sébastien Bourdais.

Before changing to Formula 1, Jaime participated in eleven races in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series in 2009.
