A very amused daredevil
On July 13 FMX star Robbie Maddison took London by surprise as he performed a spectacular backflip over an open Tower Bridge in the British capital. The 28-year-old Australian took to the air at 2:55 am and soared nearly one hundred feet (just over 30 meters) across the Thames.

Unparalleled insanity met high hopes in the friendly confines of Chicago’s Butler Field at Grant Park as Ronnie Renner broke his own Guinness World Record for the highest motorcycle jump off a quarterpipe on July 25. The 32-year-old American corrected the standing record to 63 feet 5 inches (19.35 meters).

Spain celebrates FMX torero Torres
Spanish rider Dany Torres grabbed victory in front of 23,000 fans at the fourth stop of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2009 in Madrid on July 17. Two icons of the FMX scene, Nate Adams (USA) and Robbie Maddison (AUS), took second and third place respectively in the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas bullfighting arena.

Dovizioso Wins at Donington
Andrea Dovizioso (ITA) dominated the British Grand Prix at Donington and celebrated his first ever victory in MotoGP. Hiroshi Aoyama (JPN) won the 250cc race.
