In 2009 extreme runner Christian Schiester will be competing in 4Deserts, a race through the world’s hottest and driest deserts. The dress rehearsal for it is already tough enough. From November 25 until December 9 the 41-year-old Austrian runs 550 kilometers through the Sinai.

The overall World Cup goes to David
With the Lead finals in Kranj, Slovenia, the competition season 2008 ended on November 16. And the name of the overall World Cup winner (combination of Bouldering and Lead) is David Lama.

Double victory for Kilian and David
The bouldering season ended with the finals of the World Cup in Moscow on November 1 and 2. This event closed a season marked by the dominance of Kilian Fischhuber and David Lama, who ended up taking first and second places respectively in the overall rankings.
